This workshop will be a very basic introduction to the concepts in the book and will touch on:
- Helping children deal with their feelings
- Engaging cooperation
- Alternatives to punishment
- Encouraging autonomy
- An exploration of praise
- Freeing children from roles
The standard course for this program takes seven 2 hour classes, so the purpose of this workshop will be to simply introduce the concepts and offer a few concrete tools to take away and practice at home. If there is sufficient participant interest, the full course may be offered in the future.
